CONTACTING US:
Q: Whom do I contact with my questions?
GUIDES, TIPS, AND HOW-TO’S:
Take it slow on the way in. Oakley Rd is 50mph w/ no shoulders and the lanes are tight. Burch Rd is 35MPH w/ no lane markings. While on Burch Rd, we ask you kindly yield to any oncoming traffic by slowing down and moving to the right.
OTHER Q&A:
Q: Can we bring grills?
A: Propane grills only
Q: Can we bring raised fire pits?
A: No raised fire pit
Q: Is there re-entry?
A: Yes there is re-entry but only if your car is parked in the Car Parking only lot. If you leave while camping in the GA Car Camping or preferred lot, we can't gaurantee you'll be parked back at your site when you re-enter due to safety concerns with patrons who are walking about. If you re-enter you may be placed in the Day/Car Parking lot for the duration of the event.
Q: Are there showers?
A: No showers
Q: Can we drive to campsite to drop off items if not doing car camping?
A: No but you can bring a wagon, wheelborrow, or whatever else you need to carry your camping gear from car parking only lot to the tent-only camping area. Its a flat 3-4 min walk.
Q: My vehicle at the moment is a large work van. It is 6ft wide/15ft long/8ft tall Is it not a "standard size vehicle"? Just wondering if it will be okay in the preffered or regular car camping? Would it require an RV pass? If nothing else would it be okay in the parking lot?
A: Your van is considered standard size and will be OK to park in Preferred or GA Car Camping. No RV pass required since it doesn't appear to have waste water holding tanks. If you wanted to park in Car Camping and carry your gear to the tent only camping area that would be OK too!
